These roles represent two complementary career paths that are foundational to our mission.
Software engineer
As a Software Engineer, you’ll contribute to building the Domino platform, a web-based system that enables collaborative, reproducible, and scalable data science. You’ll work on features that span the full stack: backend services, APIs, frontend UI, and integrations with major infrastructure providers (AWS, Azure, GCP, NVIDIA, and more).

Forward deployed engineer (FDE)
As an FDE, you’ll work directly with our enterprise customers to help them get value from Domino. You might be developing a computer vision pipeline for oncologists at a pharmaceutical company, helping a government agency build an advanced target recognition model using Domino, or embedding regulatory governance into a scalable MLOps workflow at a global insurance provider.
FDEs blend software engineering skills with customer empathy and domain awareness. You’ll write code, design solutions, and deliver real impact—often in high-stakes environments.
